Description
The EVR Series AP is an economical petite pinch valve suitable for a vast range of applications from harsh environments to drinking water. Featuring a Polypropylene housing, NPT threaded ends and a vast selection of different sleeve materials to choose from, the series AP is easily capable of being incorporated into original or new equipment.
In operation, flow passes through the full port elastomer sleeve. The valve is in open position and normal flow is maintained. To close the valve, instrument or plant air is introduced into the valve housing. The increased pressure collapses the sleeve and stops the flow, even against trapped solids. To reopen the valve, the compressed air is vented and regular flow is restored. By changing the air pressure the flow rate can also be controlled. Pulsing the air flow to the valve will also help loosen packed materials.
