Expansion Compensators

An expansion compensator, also called an expansion joint, is a device installed in pipelines to absorb movement caused by thermal expansion and contraction, thus preventing stress and damage to the pipe, valves, and supports. These components are especially crucial in systems where temperature changes are significant, like HVAC, industrial, and process piping. They work by providing a flexible element, often a metal bellows, that can compress, extend, or deflect to accommodate the pipe's movement.
